Which Type of Car Should You Buy?

So you have decided to purchase a new vehicle. Congratulations! However, we know the struggle of picking a new one to purchase. There are so many thoughts that go through your head – what model, what color, and most importantly which type? Choosing whether to purchase a car, truck or SUV can be an extremely difficult decision. That’s why we have decided to help you out by giving you scenarios for each type of vehicle!

 Car

Cars (coupe, hatchbacks, sedans and station wagons) are the most popular choice of vehicle for the average consumer. These vehicles are the jack-of-all-trade of vehicles. They are good on gas (in most cases), comfortable, easy to drive and cheaper than many other types of vehicles. In reality, unless you have a family larger than 4, cars are perfect for any vehicle owner.

 Truck

A truck can be an incredibly useful vehicle especially if you’re in a work field that requires the transferring of large heavy objects. It can also be useful if you live in the countryside, where you’ll be transferring things such as firewood, hay or building materials a pick-up truck is also a must.

With that being said, a deterrent to buying a pickup truck is, ironically, space. While the vehicles are quite large, because of the large bed there’s not too much seating room. This means if you have a large family a pick-up truck may not be the best primary vehicle.

 SUV

Lastly, an SUV is the best of both worlds when it comes to choosing a vehicle. It’s large enough to fit in a large family, and also has the ability to store away the seats in order to allow for more trunk space. SUV’s are perfect for the everyday person who has a family with more than two kids and also regularly transfers large objects.

Now, before you go out and buy that Hummer remember that if you don’t need an SUV, don’t buy an SUV. While they can come in handy, and most of them look very nice, SUVs can also be incredibly difficult to maintain. Gas for these vehicles do not come cheap. They usually have larger tanks than most cars so filling up an SUV can cost a lot more than filling up a small sedan. If you don’t have a need for lots of space and don’t plan on having a big family quite yet, an SUV may not be the way to go.

Choosing a vehicle is definitely the toughest part of the vehicle buying process. You must be smart in your decision and buy the appropriate type of vehicle for your lifestyle. Not doing so can result in costly expenses and multiple inconveniences!
